The 2nd annual Asian Contemporary Art Fair New York (ACAF NY), will be held from Thursday, November 6 through Monday, November 10, 2008, at Pier 92, 52nd Street and 12th Avenue, in New York City.

ACAF NY is committed to continually rediscovering Asian contemporary art and culture. The Fair's mission is to develop a platform for educating and cultivating collectors, dealers, galleries, and scholars with a sophisticated international perspective on contemporary Asian art. This year more than 80 international galleries and non-profit organizations will will exhibit at ACAF. 

Special Exhibitions

ACAF NY has commissioned numerous special exhibitions and projects, including performances and public space works. Additionally, there are two major special exhibitions curated by Dr. Charles Merewether and Feng Boyi. On opening night, a fashion show by the award-winning designer Angel Chang will happen in conjunction with a performance by artist Yibin Tian.

Educational Programs

A number of panel discussions and lectures are planned on issues relating to Asian contemporary art. These panels will feature a round table of specialized curators, academics and journalists continuing the conversation on the latest trends and developments in Asia.
